What a 30 minute headshot photo session looks like

I believe that headshot photos are what you and your photographer make of them! With my sessions, I always grab those basic and straightforward shots at the beginning of your shoot BUT THEN, I love to mix in some poses specific to you and your personality along with different lighting techniques.

I mean, we all know what a traditional headshot looks like, right? I say let’s push the envelope a little and photograph modern images that not only get you the job you want, but that you also love of yourself. I want to give you portraits that you are proud to put up on your LinkedIn and Instagram profiles and that you, your spouse or family would want to keep around for forever.

Anyway, enough on that.

Here is what a recent 30 minute headshot session with three different outfits looked like for one of my clients.

Outfit One - A green dress

This was a great way to show a professionalism, brighten the photo a bit with the color, and also show what it might be like to interact with her in real life. The use of the white table shows what it might look like to sit across from her in a meeting and then standing and walking were great ways to allow a client or employer to see what a typical interaction might be like. Either way, she has great options for any profile images!

Outfit Two - White Blazer

Mixing the white jacket with the white shirt gave a bit more of a modern flair to this outfit while also showing a bit more casual and laid back side of her with the shorts and unbuttoned blazer.

Outfit Three - Navy Blazer

For this final look, we switched up the background to add a little more interest and buttoned up the jacket for a more tailored look.
