Class of 2023 - Bluffton Senior Photos
The senior class of 2023 SHOWED UP in a big way for their photo sessions this year!
It was my biggest senior photo season in the studio yet and I can remember distinct favorite photos from every single one of them.
They brought the style and personality, bold colors and also monochromatic outfits, and there was a really cool blend of light and airy and dark and moody vibes across the board.

My favorite black and white photos
Black and white images are my go to edits when a senior brings in a really bright or bold color. I love giving them both the color image for a modern look and a black and white toned photo for a classic and timeless print. B&W senior photos also highlight the subject versus the pattern and color of his or her clothes. I love edits like the ones below!
Light and Airy photos
The “light and airy” look is a photography style where the edits have a little less contrast and a little more overall light in the photo. I typically photograph these images on my white paper, cream canvas, light grey paper, or my light brown seamless paper.
Dark and Moody
I have a lot of seniors that like the look of both the light and airy style AND dark and moody. So, I love photographing both styles! For a “dark and moody” look I use the grey textured canvas (this one edits in so many different tones!) and black seamless paper. I think these tones are fun to add a bit of a different personality to a session.

If you’re looking for a senior session and wondering when the best time is to have your photos taken, my short answer is the summer! If you’re hoping to have a tan and grab your photos before your senior year gets super full with sports, events, prom, college tours, etc then my opinion is have your photos taken in the summer. :)
