Matt Scott is a singer-songwriter based out of Bluffton, SC. Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, he fuses the influences of blues, country, folk and southern rock into a sound that is uniquely his own. His first full-length, studio album was recorded in Boston, MA at Mad Oak Studios. He currently resides as the Pastor of Worship & Arts at Hilton Head Presbyterian Church in Hilton Head Island, SC where he leads the music each week.

Poets & Saints was recorded live at Mad Oak Studios in Allston, MA. Repurposing hymns from as far back as the 1700s, Matt Scott retells the Redemptive Narrative of the world's creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. Engineered by Benny Grotto (Aerosmith, Ben Folds), the album is sure to find favor amongst fans of Dylan, Wilco, Ray Lamontagne, and Ryan Adams. With its back porch, Southern-soaked, folk-country twist, this album will cause you to re-imagine the way you experience hymns.
